CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Community Policer Service state that they were informed of reports of a moose in Cornwall’s downtown area at around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10.
According to Cst. Sherri Cameron, the moose was seen in the area of Pitt St. and police began following it.
Residents later reported to Seaway News that they saw the moose in the area of Adolphus and Ninth St. at around 2 a.m.
Cst. Cameron told Seaway News that the police had coaxed the animal north of the city to a safe area.
They said that they had contacted the Ministry of Natural Resources who were sending support in case further help was needed.
