INGLESIDE, Ontario – Music, children laughing, sizzle of hot dogs filled the air at the Summer Block Party organized by Ingleside Firefighters’ Association to celebrate summer on July 20.

“Throughout the year, there is a lot going on nearby, but not too much actually in Ingleside,” said Zach Gingras one of the event’s organizers. “We really love putting this on for Ingleside, giving everyone something to do without going far.”

Inflatable structures, face painting, a beer garden and other activities were available in the afternoon, with live music later in the day. Between 800 to 900 were expected to attend the event, according to Gingras.

“We couldn’t really do this event with the help of our sponsors and volunteers today, they really keep this event alive and make it such a great time,” said Gingras. All proceeds of the event were to benefit the Ingleside Firefighters’ Association.
