CORNWALL, Ontario – “There is a little saying that if you whisper I love you to a butterfly it will fly your message to heaven and to your loved one,” said Sandy Collette, organizer of the 3rd Annual Wings of Love, a butterfly release for Hospice Cornwall.

On Sunday, June 24, 2018, Sandy brought 200 participants together at the Nav Centre’s Stone House for the releasing of painted lady butterflies with the hope that they would reach their loved ones with their messages.

Each butterfly costs $30 with most of the cost aiding Hospice Cornwall in their work as an end of life care.

Even with difficulty obtaining butterflies from a supplier this year, Sandy was still able to get 160 butterflies into the air and to the loved ones that have left us.
