CORNWALL, Ontario – The most anticipated Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall and District event has returned for its 41st year of fun and fundraising.

Bowl for Kids Sake is expected to draw over 1,200 participants during the two-day bowling event, held in Cornwall on Feb. 2 and Chesterville on Feb. 3. Each team is allowed to have four to six players and is encouraged to collect pledges to support seven Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring programs.

“We’re really excited to have Tim Hortons partner with us,” said Ron Graham, Executive Director. “Funds raised from our signature event will allow us to continue to serve over 400 children from all parts of SDG.”

This year, Chief Danny Aikman is the Chair of the event in Cornwall and Betty Wheeler is the Chair of the event in Chesterville.

“I was really happy to accept the invitation. It’s an organization that I have a longstanding relationship with,” said Chief Aikman.

Teams will bowl for about an hour and are encouraged to be creative, with prizes available for Best Team Costume and Most Original Team Name.
