SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a two vehicle collision on County Rd. 2 (between Moulinette Road and County Rd. 12 ), South Stormont Township.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 6:34 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2018, a passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound on County Rd. 2 when, for reasons under investigation, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a westbound passenger vehicle.

The young male driver, 17, (lone occupant) of the eastbound passenger vehicle was taken to hospital with serious life threatening injuries.

The adult male driver, 29, (lone occupant) of the west bound passenger vehicle was taken to hospital and is in critical condition.

SD&G OPP continue to investigate with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).

A section of County Rd. 2 was closed to traffic with indicated detours in place, but has since re-opened.
