Atom C Colts win Capital League Championship

OTTAWA, Ontario – The Atom C Colts recently took home the gold after a hard-fought tournament in the Capital League Championship.

The tournament started on Friday, March 2 and ran until Sunday.

The Colts had a rough start to the tournament, losing to the Loyola Jets 6-2.

The second game of the tournament went much better with the Colts shutting out their opponents 5-0. The goalie for the Colts for the game was Mason Giguere who was helped out by some great defenders who did not let anyone from the opposing team into the zone.

The final game saw the Colts face off against the undefeated South Stormont team. While it was a tough game, the Colts came out victorious and took first place at the tournament with a 3-1 over South Stormont.

“It was really amazing to see the difference from the game on Friday,” said coach Marc Giguere. “It was great to see the kids come together.”

The top three forwards were: Trey Lauzon with 8 points

Alex Roach with 8 points

Cole Alguire with 7 points
