At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Alexander J. Stang of Alexandria; age of 88 years. Dear son of the late Victor Stang and Catherine-Ann “Cassie” Stang-Deschamps (nee Quesnel). Survived by his sister Beatrice Tardif (late Raymond), his brother Fred Deschamps (Wilfrieda “Frieda” Koelmans), sister-in-law Dolores Stang, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by three brothers Leonard Stang (late Gertrude Patenaude), Real Stang (Dolores), and John-Paul Stang (late Margaret Didsbury). Alex spent the last 3 years at Chateau Glengarry where he received excellent care by all the staff. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9 am -10:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Alex a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
