At the Cornwall Community Hospital with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Alexander ‘Mark’ McDonell of Cornwall; age 89 years. Beloved husband of Evelyn McDonell (nee McDonald). Loving father of Brenda White (Shawn) of Glen Walter, Brent McDonell of Glen Walter and Blake McDonell (Janet Sturrock) of Lancaster. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary Jane (nee McCosham) McDonell, his one brother Barton (Betty), one daughter Bernadine and two sons Brian and Blane. He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Glen Nevis on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 1 pm. Interment of cremated remains will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Mark a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live.
