Peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 15, 2020. Allen Alexander Douglas of Maxville; age 86 years. Beloved husband of Sylvia Douglas (nee Guindon). Loving father of Donna McCuaig (Don), Steven (Cindy) and Ann Rivet (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Leanne, Julie, Malcolm, William, Megan and Laura. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Eva Douglas (nee Major). Dearly loved brother of Beverley Hink (Doug), late Gerald (late Marion) and late Norma Levy (late Stan). He is survived by many nieces and nephews. For those who wish to attend the controlled attendance visitation at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 11:15 am– 12:30 pm, must call to reserve a time to attend. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, 14 Catherine Street East, at 1 pm, please call the Funeral Home to register your attendance. Burial in St. James cemetery following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Maxville manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Allen a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live.
