It is with heavy hearts that the family of André Charlebois announce his passing at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge at the age of 97. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 62 years Mariette (Casaubon) who predeceased André 11 years ago.
André was a dedicated and adored father to Louise (Patrick Runions, Gatineau) Rosanne (Michael Webb, Kemptville) Denis (Thora Lloyd, Thunder Bay). Cherished and respected Grandfather of Shawn Runions (Edith Estacion, Gatineau) and Christine Runions (Gatineau). Proud great grandfather (Papi) to Miranda Runions.
André is predeceased by his parents Procule Charlebois and Alexina (née Lalonde) as well as his thirteen siblings: Alice, Edmeria, Thérese, Marie Anne, Germaine, Sr. Alida, Alfred, Idola, Yvonne, Antoinette, Gerard, Olivier and Hélène.
André will be greatly missed by his family and those whom he touched. He was kind, generous, loving and caring. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humour and love of music. He always had a song in his heart.
The family wish to express their deepest and heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge for their exceptional care, support and loving attention to André these past years. Their dedication and compassion have made a profound impact on André and his family.
The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes East Branch 614 First Street East Cornwall Ontario K6H 1M1 (613-933-2841) from 9 am until the time of Service on Tuesday July 11, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11am. A reception will follow on the premises. Interment St. Columban’s Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Glen Stor Dun Lodge Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Expressions of condolence may be left at www.lahaiesullivan.ca.
