Aurore Eliza Lalonde

Aurore Eliza Lalonde (née Cayer) – at St. Joseph’s Villa on Monday, September 30, 2019 at age 99. She was the loving wife of Harvey Lalonde, who passed in 1992, and the beloved mother of Bernadette (Dwight), Lucien (Linda), Diane (Rheal Gingras) and Harvey Jr. (Paulette). Joyfully remembered Mémère (Grandma “Ding Ding” to Lucien & Linda’s family), of Stefan (Amber), Angele (Josh); Jenny (Jonathan), Lisa (Corey), Timothy; Julie (Stephan), Joel (Sarah); Mathieu (Britanny), and Kristine (Andrew). Happily, Aurore’s many great grandchildren were able to know and love her: Anneke, Samuel, Erica, Madison, Amelia, Jaden, Mav, Edge, Victoria, Maxim, Noah, Hudson, Ella, Macy, Sage, Isabelle, and Jaxon. Her family and friends will keep her memory alive with the retelling of so many stories of fun times they had with her from family meals, kids being given free reign to use the beds as wrestling rings, snuggling the many babies brought into her growing family…and BINGO! There was never a shortage of love and laughter in Aurore’s home, and we made sure she felt love and had those cherished sounds about her until the end. Aurore was the much-loved daughter of Arthur and Alma (Bouchard) Cayer, and the final of her many siblings to be called home including, Maurice, Delisca, Gerard, Aurele, Romeo, Richard, Conrad, Laurent, Rene, Aneda, Albert, and Annette. “What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.” Our Mom, Mémère, Grandma Ding Ding, and Great-Grandma has woven a vibrant, loving, beautiful legacy into each of us.
A Funeral Mass in Celebration of Aurore’s life will take place at Paroisse Sainte-Thérèse-de-Liseux on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10 am.
