It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bernard MacDonald on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the age of 100 years. Beloved husband of the late Rita MacDonald (née Fitzsimmons) and after to the late Sylvi McGill-MacDonald (née Rupert). Loving father of Wilfred MacDonald, Terrance MacDonald (late Susan), late Ronald MacDonald and late Maurice MacDonald, step father of Wayne McGill (Joanne), Rodney McGill (Gwen), Shawn McGill and late Cindy Lou McGill. Proud grandfather of 6, great grandfather of 7 and great great grandfather of 1. Survived by his sister Myrtle Lynch, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters and his parents Bernard and Catherine MacDonald (née McIntosh).
Visitation will take place at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall ON, Friday, January 12, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9p.m. and on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 9 am to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
