Passed away peacefully at Marianhill on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the age of 83 years.
Claudette Preston (nee Lefebvre) of Cornwall, wife of the late Wilburn “Bill” Preston. Dear mother of Lisa Hamilton (Brian) of Westmeath and Robert Preston (Jackie) of Cornwall. Cherished Nan to Lindsay and Kyle (Rebecca) Hamilton; and Andrew Preston (Tiffany), Katie Offenbacher (Matt) and Matthew Preston. Great-grandmother to Sophia, Alexander, Ayla, Sawyer, Leah and Mallory. Predeceased by parents Daniel and Jeannette Lefebvre (nee Quenville) and by brother Daniel Lefebvre (Reina). Survived and missed by her niece and nephews. Special Thank-you to the nurses and PSWs at Bayshore for their care of Mom in her home, and to Dr. Murray, the nurses and PSWs at Marianhill Hospice.
Respecting Claudette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service was held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Cornwall on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke; and Sullivan Funeral Home, Cornwall.
