Côme Joseph Chevrier

8 March, 1928 – 22 August, 2021

At the St. Joseph’s Villa, on Sunday August 22, 2021, Côme Chevrier of Cornwall passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was 93. Beloved husband to his wife of 69 years, Pierrette (née Parent) and cherished father to their three sons, Claude, Alain (Patricia), and Marc (Kelly). Proud grandfather of Micheline, Claire (Ben), Joelle (Mei), Natalie, Mathieu (Kimberly), Nicholas, Matthew and Carly. Dear son of the late Eléonore & Noé Chevrier. Brother of Agnes (Roger), predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. He was a quiet, kind and gentle man, putting family first, always, as a dedicated husband, loving and supportive father and grandfather. Some of his happiest times were spent at hockey rinks, baseball diamonds and soccer fields. He also loved to sit and listen to the tales of his world travelers and looked forward to his postcards from afar. He enjoyed gardening and woodwork and was always ready to lend a hand. The family wishes to extend their upmost gratitude to the St. Joseph’s Villa Continuing Care Team for their excellent care and compassion given to Côme during his stay. Arrangements under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, (613-932-8482). Respecting Côme’s wishes a private service will be held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation to the St. Joseph’s Villa Continuing Care Centre.
