HUYBREGTS, Cornelius Hendrikus “Case”

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved father and Opa, who passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at age 90. Case, the oldest of 13 children, immigrated from the Netherlands to Canada in 1961. He worked hard farming in Crysler, Ontario for close to five decades.
Beloved husband of the late Gertruda (née Laemers) Huybregts. Loving and proud father of Carolina Cudahy (Tony Zandbelt) of Embrun, Willy Huybregts (Claudia Junge) of Crysler and Gerry Huybregts (Julie) of Berwick.
Cherished Opa of Cory (Lauren), Colby (Samantha), Danika, Kaley (Matt), Karina, and great grandchildren.
In Canada, he was the dear brother of Mary Luykx (late John) of Winchester, Tony Huybregts (Dina) of Ottawa, Freida Clevers (Frans) of Metcalfe. In the Netherlands, survived by sisters Bets (late Pete), Nell (late Pete), Corrie, Annie (Wim) and Julia (Andre) and brother Wim (Maria). Predeceased by his sister Koos, and brothers Drik and Jos (late Annie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7th at 1:00 p.m., St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 56 Front Street, Finch, Ont. Due to COVID restrictions all people in attendance must wear facemasks and social distance.
Following mass, there will be a reception at the Avonmore Community Centre, 16299 Fairview Dr, Avonmore, at 2 p.m. Those unable to attend mass are welcome to the reception. All people attending the luncheon will have to provide proof of vaccination. Special thanks to Dr. Pleau-Lachance and to Champlain Home Care, especially Nurse Genevieve, for all their care, compassion and support.
