David Frances Oliver

April 2, 1960 – November 18, 2021

With deepest sorrow, we announce that our beloved David, at the young age of 61 years, passed suddenly (natural causes) on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, in his home at Kingston, Ontario.
David was the son of Jimmy Oliver (Judy Lalonde) and the sweetest brother and dearest friend of his sisters Debbie (Robert McDonald), Joanne and Lynn. Predeceased by his mother Doreen Gardiner and his Aunt Viv (Fenton) who loved him as her own son.
David was born in Cornwall, Ontario and at the age of 8 years he moved to Harrison’s Corners where his adventurous country life began (with his little dog Annie )and where he forged lifetime friendships and attended Tagwi Secondary School. David later became a long time employee of Domtar in Cornwall, until it closed.
For the last 16 years David has resided in the city of Kingston, Ont. (with the companionship of his 2 black cats for over 12 years) and where he met his dear friend Ron.
David was a gentle, quiet and loving soul who appreciated his peace and solitude, and respected that in others. He enjoyed playing his guitar, old movies, hiking, religion and reading. We will miss his joyous, free, and contagious
laughter. He is, and will continue to be, a shinning light missed dearly by his family and friends.
Cremation took place Dec.02, at Gordon F. Tompkin’s Funeral Home, in Kingston, Ont. Inurnment to take place at Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall, Ont
