David Peter Robertson
With shattered hearts, we share that David Peter Robertson, 76, passed peacefully in the early hours of Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock, Ontario after a short battle with cancer. David’s last precious days were spent surrounded by his family who never left his side. David passed away secure in the love and respect that was given in great abundance as he was being cocooned and sheltered by the most incredible staff at Sakura House Hospice. Our heartfelt thanks are extended to everyone there. A source of joy and pride, family was of the utmost importance to David. Much-loved husband and best friend to Judi for 38 years, adored and treasured dad to Carey and Brian (and Persia), Dave was the world’s best Grandpa to Carson, Milla and Kyan, and loving and supportive dad-in-law to Kent. Loving Brother to Jack, Jenny (Eric and Paul), Jill (Denis and Stefanie), Kathy of New Zealand (Michael, Megan, Deirdre, and Patricia [deceased]). Loved Brother-in-law to Susan and Bob (Travis, Ben, Hayley and father Simon), Melanie and Steve (Sasha and Nik and father Richard), and Rick and Fran. Dave was never without a cat. The most tender poppa to Stella and Wilbur, Dave will be meeting Zooey, Lucifer, Avery, Dharma, Katie, Frankie, Phred, and the legendary Mac who are all waiting for him at the rainbow bridge. Best friend to many – Ted and Jayne, Don and Lynne, Paul and Anne, George and Lynne, Bill and Sue, and especially his son Brian. Great friend to so many – Randy H, Keith V, Greg B, Ed L, Bill K, Frank P, Gary D, Melanie G, among many others.
