Dean Ducas
Dr. Dean Ducas passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on Tuesday May 6, 2025 at the age of 66 years. Beloved husband of Dr. Mary Smar. Loving father of Eva Ducas (Matt Crerar) and Christopher Ducas (Jaime Rimer). Cherished grandfather of Holden and Hudson Crerar. Survived by his brother Dr. John Ducas (Ada) and by his sister Dr. Diane Ducas (Dr. Danny Globerman). Predeceased by his parents Gus and Vicky (née Micas) Ducas. Uncle Dean will be remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. A committed family medicine practitioner, Dean worked alongside his wife Mary caring for the community for more than thirty-five years. Dean loved the natural world, as seen by his love of canoeing, motorcycling, and photography, and cared deeply for his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, from 1-3pm at the DEV Hotel & Conference Centre in Cornwall, Ontario.
