It is with great sadness that the family of Dearna Cholette (née Ladouceur) announces her passing on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at home. Surrounded by her family and friends at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Garnet Cholette. Dear daughter of the late Arthur Ladouceur and Mary Louise (née Papineau). My Mother came from a large family of 13 with 8 sisters and 4 brothers. She was born in Monkland and went to school there. Predeceased by her 4 brothers James, Edward, Joseph and Laurence and by her 8 sisters Miralda, Rita, Pearl, Margarite, Grace, Emily, Florence and Catherine. She was the half-sister of Billy Ladouceur (Gail) of Toronto and stepsister of Earl O’Neill (Donna) of Windham. Marcella Merpaw is their Mother and a stepmother to the rest of us. Dearna was a loving mother of 2 children Fred “Freddy” and Louise (Tom) of Cornwall. Cherished grandmother of Lisa Cholette of Cornwall, great-grandmother of John-Michael of Kingston. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and friends. There will be no visitation or service at this time. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
