Mertes Donald Gerald,– On Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was 70. Beloved wife of Donna. Loving father of Rita Mertes (Jeff), Kim Sabourin (Leon) and stepfather of Mathew Smith (Courtney) and Erin Bernatchez (Michel). Sadly missed by his great grandchildren; Justin Sabourin, Jessee Mertes, McKenzie Morrison, his step grandchildren Jaxson, Linkin, Ben and great grandchildren Maycee and Maghnus. Survived by his siblings John (Carol Ann Ledoux), Margaret Rothwell (Don) and Tammy Mertes. He is predeceased by his parents Donald and Claire (Grace) Mertes, his siblings Linda Hicks, Patricia Deschamps (Eddy) and David (Elaine Bougie). Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Saturday, March 21st from 2-4pm. Committal at a later date.
