Donald St-Jean (Don)
It is with great sadness that the St-Jean family announces Don’s passing at age 74, after a year-long battle with Cancer. Surrounded by his loved ones, Don died peacefully at home on Monday, October 4, 2021.
Beloved husband to Shannon (nee Pruner). He was preceded in death by his parents Rodrique and Rollande (nee Delorme) St-Jean, his first wife Christine (nee White), his brother Robert (Barbara) St-Jean, sister Madeleine (George) Clarke, and grandson Tom St-Jean.
He was the loving father to Gerry (Christine ) St-Jean, Eric (Sue ) St-Jean and Lisa Mochan. Loving grandfather to Martin, Emilie, Ryan (Laura), Jeff (Katie), Julia, Richard, and Billy (Olivia) and great grandfather to Cooper, Mackenzie, Liam and Peyton.
Dear brother to Hélène (Guy) Lanctot, Raymond (Jean) St-Jean and Denis (Aline) St-Jean.
Don was the founder and owner of Cornwall Counter Tops, a passion of his for over 20 years.
At a time when medical support is strained to its highest limit, Don was well supported by his palliative care team, and the family extends its biggest thanks to Dr. Hagarty, Dr. Ngo, and nurse Megan for their dedicated care.
As per Don’s wishes, a private burial will take place in the Spring, 2022. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
