ASHE, (née Turner) Doris – Ms. Doris Jane Ashe (née Turner) R.N., passed away peacefully at Cornwall Hospice on August 22, 2019, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 76. Forever loved and always missed mother of Janet Mae MacDonald (née Shirley) (Russ) and Arthur-James “A.J.” Charles Ashe (Tina). Cherished grandmother of Natalie, Christopher, Katrina, Hailey, Mila, Nala, and Malaya. Proud great-grandmother of Malek, Ellyanna, Abigail, and Piper. Dear sister of Gordon (Diane) and John (Marjorie) Turner. Remembered fondly by stepdaughters Charlene Seaton and Delores Gero. Daughter of the late Edgar and Wilda (née Patterson) Turner. She was loved by countless relatives and friends. A retired nurse (Cornwall General Hospital Nursing School class of 1964) and woman of faith, Doris was truly special. She cared for many and touched hearts in ways only those that knew her could understand. Please join her family in celebration of her life Monday, September 2, 2019 for a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. and reception to follow from 3 p.m.- 4 p.m. at the Cornwall Wesleyan Church, 780 Sydney St., Cornwall Ontario. After a long struggle with cancer, cremation will have already occurred. Interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Winchester Ontario will be done at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful health care teams, staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped Doris battle Multiple Myeloma. She achieved many of her dreams, and her strength and courage continue to inspire us. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall.
