Edna A. Peterson
August 9, 1926 – August 7, 2019
At Heartwood Long Term Care Centre, Cornwall, passed away peacefully with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband, Albert, her son, Michael and infant daughter, Cheryl. Also, her brother, Herbert and sisters, Cynthia and Yvonne. An avid golfer and curler and lifelong cat lover, Mum was most proud of being a British War Bride. She arrived in Alexandria, along with her infant son, Paul in November, 1946 to join Albert and start her life in Canada. Left to mourn are her son, Paul (Loretta) and daughter Elaine (Terry Douglas) and her grandchildren, Paul (Rosalie), David (Nicki), Letisha (Jason Elliott) and Marina (Jon Prugh) and seven great-grandchildren, Wade, Jaidyn, Elizabeth, William, Cathrine, Jonathan and Thomas. Mum will also be missed by her nephew, Roger Wilkinson and cousin (and flower girl) Margaret Evans in Yorkshire, England.
There will not be a service. Ever a “Yorkshire Lass” after cremation, Mum will be going home to Yorkshire, England to be with her parents, Phoebe and Herbert Wilkinson.
