Eileen Hunt (Cameron)
HUNT, Eileen Joyce (Cameron), age 88, on Monday, January 13th, 2020, with her cherished family at her side. Life-long partner of her beloved Ed, they were married for over 65 wonderful and fun-filled years sharing many exciting adventures. Eileen was a devoted and adored mother to Brendon (Karen) and to Jennifer (Kevin Lafave) and exposed them to a joyous youth and providing guidance and direction with her hallmark carefree and easy-going attitude. She imparted her love of nature with her 4 precious grandchildren, Murray (Kim), Jenny (Mike Szymkowiak), Megan (Brayden Girard) and Jamie. Their treasured Nanny spent many contented moments discussing her fondness for birds and wild flowers and her love of gardening. Spending time with her 7 great-grandchildren also brought a special sparkle to her legendary steel blue eyes. Eileen will be missed by her surviving sister Joan Bingley (late Bob) and her sister-in-law Leona Hunt (late Joe). In her later years, Eileen became an accomplished artist exemplifying her great taste and style, creating cards crafted from plants and flowers garnered from the gardens at their home that she and Ed took so much pleasure in designing and building. The family wants to express their genuine gratitude to the entire wonderful staff at Woodland Villa in Long Sault where Eileen received the best care and support over the past nearly 6 years. To honor Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Brownlee Funeral Home 14815 County Road 2 Ingleside on Friday from 2pm until 5pm. [A SERVICE IN CELEBRATION OF EILEEN HUNT’S LIFE WILL BE HELD IN THE CHAPEL OF THE FUNERAL HOME ON SATURDAY JANUARY 18, 2010 AT 11AM.]. Spring interment at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery.
