At the Palace Long Term Care, Alexandria on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Ernest Lavigne of Alexandria: age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Thérèse Lavigne (née Vachon) (2020). Loving father of Denis Lavigne of Dunvegan, Donald Lavigne (late Jocelyne), and Denise Fraser (Leslie) both of Alexandria. Predeceased by his parents Paul Lavigne and Albinie Titley; 3 brothers Laurent (late Jeanette), Raymond (late Cecile) and Romuald (Beverley of Alexandria), and by 4 sisters Léda DeGuire (late René), Pauline Lavigne, Geraldine Lavigne (late William) and Rita Brunet (late Raymond). Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A private Graveside Committal Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Ernest a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
