Florence O’Donohue (McIntosh)

Friday, May 1st, 1936 Friday, January 8th, 2021.

Florence O’Donohue from Maxville; age 84 years old, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 8th 2021.
Predeceased by her parents William and Jessie McIntosh (MacLean). Beloved wife of Dwaine O’Donohue. Loving mother of Cynthia Jeaurond (Roger), Kimberly Villeneuve and step daughter Christine Lemoyre (O’Donohue). Proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Grandchildren: Norman (Janel), Liane (Tyler), Kyle (Morgan), William (Michelle), Matthew and Meghan. Great grandchildren: Christopher, Joe, Emily, Hayden, Bryson, Addison, Lochlan, Dustin, Logan and Blaire.

Florence was an incredibly kind, proud, loving and dedicated person who demonstrated these traits for over 30 years as a RN at the Maxville Manor. She loved her family and her family cherished her. She enjoyed nothing more than a quick impromptu visit from grandchildren and great grandchildren. Florence’s friends were also an important part of her life. Friends were not something that came and went but rather gems she cherished and held dear to her throughout her entire life. She kept in touch with most of them to the end. In her retirement years she enjoyed travelling. Some of her many trips included Ireland, Newfoundland and Florida. Florence kept her mind sharp by playing Sudoku every day and watching trivia shows on TV. Florence will be missed by all who knew her and will continue to live on in our memories.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
