Florian Kos
May 2, 1931 – November 20, 2020
Kos, Florian, – on Friday, November 20, 2020. He was 89. Loving father of Milan Kos (Nathalie Perrier) of Montreal, Ida Kos (Marcel Larocque) and Susie Kos both of Cornwall. Sadly missed by his grandchild Emma Cappello. He is predeceased by his parents Florian Kos Sr. and Helena Kos (Jevenik) and his siblings Anka Mitzka, Milan and Stephan Kos. Florian was a soldier and worked in landscaping and in coal mines, he then went on to work as a baker at Eaton’s in Montreal for 35 years until he retired in 1994. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed walking and biking. He also kept busy with home renovations and gardening until he moved into his retirement home at Sunrise in Dollard des Ormeaux in Montreal 7 years ago. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. A private burial will be held at a later date at Notre Dame Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to convey the following message: “COVID is real. Wear masks properly, wash your hands and keep your distance”
