At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 20, 2021. Major (Ret’d) Garry Sheldon MacLennan of Alexandria, ON, a 30 year veteran of the RCAF, passed away. He was the son of the late Eva Carey and Kenneth MacLennan and the loving husband of Henriette (Ladouceur) MacLennan. In addition to his wife, he will be dearly missed by his son Jeff (Kelly) of Ottawa, ON, and daughter, Lorri (Michael) of Gatineau, PQ. Proud Grandfather to 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Mackenzie, Mackinley, Kaitlin and Allison. Brother of Linda Cotter (Shaun) and Connie MacLennan. Garry will be sadly missed by those he helped while volunteer driving from Glengarry (Maxville Manor, Cancer Society, Glengarry Outreach and Wheels of Hope). A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and all of the support staff at Glengarry Memorial Hospital for their compassion, caring and support. Garry will be missed by the entire Maclennan Family. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 2:00-4:00& 7:00-9:00 pm and Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:45 am. A Private Funeral Service will follow directly after Thursday’s visitation in the Funeral Home Chapel. Masks and Physical Distancing will be required at all gatherings. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
