Garry St-Denis
St-Denis, Garry – After a long battle with COPD, Garry passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Cornwall Hospice on Wednesday May 29th, 2019 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of the late Carol Anne St-Denis (nee Finnigan). Loving father of Chantal (Jeff) Slaght and Michelle (William) Parsons. Stepfather to Dianne Bond (Bob), Debbie (Jerry) Johnson and the late Steven Hancock. Adoring grandfather to Jakob. Loved son of the late John and Aurea Fraser (nee St-Denis). Dear brother of Shirley (Ian) Robson and the late John Fraser Jr. He will be sadly missed by his nieces Angela (Gary) Champagne and Jennifer (Javier) Troconis Anselmi. Beloved great uncle to Georgia and Maximo. He will also be remembered by his step grandchildren Tyler and Shawna, and his nephews Kevin, Randy and Kurt as well as many cousins and friends.
Garry was a skilled Tradesman who had the ability to solve any problem and enjoyed tinkering and fixing things. He was a member of the Cornwall UA Local 71 and Oshawa UA Local 463. Garry’s straightforward tell-it-like-it-is personality was his trademark. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Cornwall Hospice for making his last few weeks comfortable. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Garry’s Life will take place at a later date. If so desired, contributions in his loving memory to Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
