Garth Jarvo

Garth Jarvo born in Cornwall on October 8th, 1932. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family just shy of his 89th birthday. Predeceased by his parents Austin and Mary (Belmore). Also predeceased by all his brothers and sisters. He leaves behind his loving wife Jeannette (Giroux), married 68 years. Together they raised 3 children Carol (Gary Vachon), Michael (Tracy Sleeman) Andrew (Priya Ramasamy). Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Andre Giroux (Dora). Garth was a long-time Courtaulds employee until its closure. He loved family gatherings where he’ll be remembered with a drink in his hand and a smile on his face. Dad retained his humorous wit until the very end. He was loved greatly and will be missed immensely. A special thanks to all his neighbors who were so kind, caring and helpful to mom and dad. A private funeral was held. Friends and family are welcome to attend a gathering and celebration of Garth’s life, on Saturday September 4th, 2021 between 2 pm and 4 pm at his residence, 304 Anthony St. Funeral arrangements entrusted to LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, 20 Seventh W, (613-932-8482).
