Peacefully at the Heartwood Long Term Care on Friday, December 27, 2024. George Joseph Assaf of Alexandria; age 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Elsie Assaf (née Collins). Dear step-father of David Price (Diana English). Cherished brother of late Ernest Assaf, late Jean D’Arc Charbonneau, Mary Carraro and late Olga Selvazzo. Predeceased by his parents Nimi and Selimi Assaf (née Aboud). George was a dedicated volunteer at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital for 25 years and enjoyed camping greatly. Funeral arrangements under the care and directions of Munro and Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, ON (613-525-2772). As per George’s wishes Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in the Spring of 2025 in Alexandria United Church Cemetery. As expressions of Sympathy Memorial Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
