Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2019 in the same farmhouse where he was born just over 82 years ago. Loving father of Kaitlin MacLeod (Matthew Watts). Proud grandfather of Griffin Watts. Dear brother of Donald Norman MacLeod (Merle), Raymond MacLeod (Helen), Flora Poulton (Jim), the late Lorraine MacCormac (Jerry) and the late James MacLeod. Son of the late Roderick and the late Nora (née MacRae) MacLeod. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends and neighbours. George’s family would like to thank Dr. Poilly and the nurses who made it possible for George to spend the remainder of his time in the comfort of his own home. Family and friends are requested to gather at the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at St. Columba Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Kirk Hill at a later date. In memory of George’s hard work and dedication, donations to St. Columba Presbyterian Church Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
