POIRIER, George – On Wednesday April 17, 2019. He was in his 74th year. Beloved husband of the late Sandra (Grant) Poirier (January 8, 2019). Loving father of Tammy O’Connor (Dan) and Carrie-Lynn Poirier. Sadly missed by 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Olivia, Liam, Justin and 5 great grandchildren, Alia, Arma, Jaden, Payton and Mayson. Prececeased by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth (Lapierre) Poirier one brother James and one sister Mary. In keeping with George’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation services entrusted to the care and direction of the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. Committal, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 329 Pitt St, Cornwall, ON K6J 3R1 would be appreciated by the family.
