Gillissie, Gerald Edward — passed away peacefully in his home in Cornwall, Ontario, on January 1st, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. Gerry served with the Ontario Provincial Police in Lancaster, Ontario from May 1967 until his retirement in February 1996, whereby he continued to engage in his passion for carpentry work. He will be sadly missed by his family and close friends. He is survived by his wife, Diane, daughters, Cheryl Dore (Roch), Tracey Quenneville (Robert) and Kim Vierno (Joe) also by his grandchildren, Chad Dore, Tyler Dore, Megan Dore, Alexandra Quenneville, Danielle Quenneville, Jacob Vierno, Emily Vierno, Matthew Vierno and great-grandchildren Dray Dore and Calla Quenneville. He is also survived by his brother Ken Gillissie. Predeceased by his mother Doris Page-Gillissie, stepfather Clarence Page, father Edward Gillissie and sister Jean Carter. Cremation services entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
