September 12, 1948 – March 24, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald (Gerry) Lalonde age 76 peacefully in his home on March 24th.
Gerry was generous with his time and he enjoyed family gatherings with his siblings and extended family. He lived in Cornwall his entire life and was a longtime employee of Domtar. In his younger days he was involved with bathtub races in the Cornwall canal, traveled to play golf and attend stock car races.
He was predeceased by his parents Marjorie (McMillan) and Claude, his sister Lynne Alguire (Kent) and brother Rick (Mary). Survived by stepsister Armande Sloan (Bill), stepbrother Roger (Claire), Paul, Ron (Carole), Robert (Katherine). He was uncle to seventeen nieces and nephews.
Gerry was a fixture in our lives and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on June 14th at 10 AM at St. Francis de Sales Church on 2nd St. W Cornwall. Friends and family are invited to say farewell to “Tanker”. Interment of the cremains
will take place following the service at Woodlawn Cemetery on Cumberland St.
