LAFRANCE, Gilberte (née Richer) – It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Gilberte Lafrance (née Richer) on May 13, 2020 at the age of 90. She was the beloved wife of the late Hector Lafrance. Predeceased by her parents Aimé Richer and Florina Laplante. Loving mother of Danielle (Jacques Desjardins), Lorraine (Shaz Amin), Nicole (Denis Charette) and Gilles (Chantal Lafrance). Cherished grandmother of Guillaume, Mélissa (Kevin Pilon), Stéphanye, Mylène and Zakhary (Natasha Rondeau) and great grandmother of Mia and Zayra. She leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Benoit (Yolande Richer), Madeleine (Omer Bourdeau), Rhéa (Gérald Lefebvre), Raymonde (André Boivin), Bernadette (Roger Bourgeois) and Louise (Jean-Paul David). Predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Bernard (Thérèse Richer), Françoise (Laurent Paquette), Lucien (late Claudette Richer) and Réjean (Claudette Richer). Also leaves behind her brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws: late Raymond Lafrance (late Rollande Lafrance), Thérèse Lavergne (late Jean-Maurice Lavergne), late Rollande Rozon (late Raymond Rozon) and Rosaire Lafrance (Lina Lafrance). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the Villa St-Albert where our mother enjoyed living for the past two years. Due to the present circumstances, a private ceremony will be held for the immediate family and the religious service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
