Ginette Jarvo, 1952-2023
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ginette Jarvo (née Landriault ) surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 1 st , 2023 at Cornwall Hospice at the young age of 71 years. After her long,
courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer; she leaves behind a legacy of her strong family values and beliefs, top notch organizational skills and fun traditions, such as Caesar Sundays. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 52 years, Douglas Jarvo. Loving mother of Roxanne Emmell (Luc) of Bainsville and Michelle Jarvo (Ryan Douglas) of Cornwall. She cherished spending her time with her granddaughters; Katereena Richer (Jared) and Bianka Emmell (Brandon Laplante). One of her greatest joys was being a great-grandmother to Tilley, Finnik and Lainey.
Dear sister and best friend of Cecile Derouin (late Richard), Liette Masterman (late Lloyd), Pauline Leroux (Richard), Fernand Landriault and Roland Landriault (Laura) all of Cornwall. She is predeceased by her parents; Rheal Landriault and Gilberte Landriault (née Guay) and by her brothers; Roger Landriault (Annie) and Donald Landriault.
She thoroughly enjoyed her working years at TCTI/NAVCAN where she developed many deep and lifetime friendships. She often brought home a funny story in regards to pranks, antics and comic relief from her “Seven Dwarves”. Once retired, she took great pleasure in meeting with the ladies for their monthly luncheons. She found happiness in roadtrips, traveling and camping with family and friends.Our deepest gratitude to the entire Cornwall Hospice Team. We feel so very fortunate to have spent the last weeks of Ginette’s life surrounded by their compassion, unwavering commitment and exceptional care.
