Harold Nadeau
Wednesday, July 29th, 1931 – Monday, November 1st, 2021
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Harold Louis Nadeau on Monday, November 1st, 2021 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 90. Beloved father to Arlene and Trevor. Cherished grandfather of Shaylyn and Connor. Beverly Nadeau (nee Greenhalgh) mother to Arlene and Trevor. Dear brother to Gladys Nadeau, Kay Duffy, Eileen Bisson, Gerry Nadeau and Rod Nadeau. Harold will be greatly remembered for his love of family, his 50-year love affair with golf, a game he loved so much especially when playing with his grandson Connor, his son Trevor and fellow members and buddies at Ile Perrot Golf Club and Cornwall Golf Club, his cats Toby and Drifter and his daughter Arlene’s baked goodies and chocolate of course! Harold also loved his daily walks, bowling, but without a doubt, he loved spending time with Shaylyn and Connor, grandchildren he loved so much. Harold’s quiet charm, clever sense of humor and gentle kindness will be remembered forever by all who knew him. Harold’s wish was for cremation with very little fuss. We honor his wishes. Rest assured that family and friends will be gathering often to celebrate Harold’s life and the moments shared together with him over the years. When we do, we’ll remember one of his favorite jokes and be sure to toast him with “real wine” definitely not white wine. We ask his friends to do the same and raise a toast to Harold Nadeau when remembered, a great guy who will be missed dearly. If you’re not a drinker and you find yourself at Harvey’s, be sure to have a cheeseburger with onions in his honor, he loved those burgers.
