WHITE, Harold – at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Theresa (née Delormier) for 53 years. Loving father of Marion White-Cornwall Island, Nancy Lazore (Leonard)-Snye, Jeffrey White(Julie)-Cornwall Island, Samantha White-Tenasco (Albert)-St. Regis and chosen son Borby Marquis-Kanawake. Cherished grandfather of Bret, Mason, Tyler, Thomas, Rarihwenhawi and Sapphire. Great grandfather to Emerald and Sage. Dear brother of Carl White(Carol) of St. Regis, Nelson White (Rose Marie)of Cornwall Island and Robert White (Elaine) of Cornwall Island. Dear nephew of Walter Benedict of Hogansburg, Peter Mitchell of Snye and Doris Kelly of San Francisco. Loving son of the late Joseph White and the late Marion Benedict. Predeceased by his sister Joanne Benedict, his brothers Irving, Elmer, Dennis, Matthew and Michael White. Harold was a Masonry Bricklayer for over 50 years and had worked on many buildings in Akwesasne, Kanawake, Canton, Potsdam, Saranac Lake, Syracuse and Ithaca. He loved to fish, took pride in his gardens and stayed busy caring for the many stray cats he adopted. He would come home and talk about the day he had with his dialysis friends, the nurses, PSW’s, transport drivers. Harold was a history buff and if you had any questions you could call him and he would tell you all about it. Resting at his daughter Marion White’s residence 49 Walter Delormier Road, Cornwall Island on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 2 pm until Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2 pm, a reading and prayers will be done by the Funeral Home at 2 pm Friday.
