Helen (Boland) White

Helen Julian (Boland) White, February 18, 1933 – June 22, 2025, lived a good and productive life full of joys, challenges and the love and respect of her family. Helen was a classy, fiercely independent woman with a zest for life and fun and looking good while she was living it! She loved being out on the water fishing and was often referred to as the blonde in the duck boat. She was blessed with life long friends, Carole, Jean, and many more.

Helen was a proud Newfoundlander, born in Curling, NL. She raised her young family in Stephenville, NL. She also lived in Cornwall for many years and in more recent years with her daughter Sherri in Hamilton.

She was very artistically talented and sold her paintings at fairs and markets for many years. She enjoyed skiing, golfing, curling, darts and playing cards with her friends. She worked hard and stayed active as long as her body allowed. She had a sense of style, fashion and beauty which was evident in her home and her personality.

She was so very proud of her children and their families, their successes and talents and the ways they negotiated life.

Helen is survived by her sons Randy White (Mary), Shane White (Eileen), Todd White (Arlene), Sherri Jablonski (Paul), her grandchildren Rheya, Steven, Hannah and great grandchild Harrison, her brother Fred Boland (Carolyn) and many cousins.

As woman who maintained her faith in God, she will be welcomed by the communion of saints, her husband Pat Blackadder, mother Anita (Hynes) Boland, father Leo Patrick Boland, brothers Harold and Michael, sisters Mary Lindsey, Bride Boland, Mona Galliot, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins in the Boland and Hynes line as well as many relatives and friends in Newfoundland and Ontario.

She will be forever missed.

The family is grateful for the excellent care provided in recent months by the St. Joseph’s Hospital 5th floor Rehab Team, your care was unmatched.
