MCGILLIS, Helen (née Purcell) – Mrs. Helen McGillis at Heartwood Long Term Care on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Loving mother of Greg, Steve, and Randy McGillis. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Bronte, Ryan, Chelsea, and Alyssa. Dear sister of Martha Heward. Predeceased by her husband Ford McGillis, her siblings John, George, Lawrence, Owen, Monica McPhee, Louise Clark, Isabelle Cayer, and Marion Purcell, and her parents George and Hortense (née Latreille) Purcell. Funeral arrangements entrusted to WILSON FUNERAL HOME 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Saturday May 18, 2019 from 10AM-12:45PM. A funeral ceremony will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00PM. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery. If so desired, contributions in her memory to Heartwood Long Term Care, Kidney Foundation, or Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family.
