PALMER, Helen – Peacefully in London, Ontario on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the age of 92 with her daughters by her side. Born in Enderby, Leicestershire, England on October 3, 1926. Helen was the last surviving of seven children born to Robert and Ellen Carter of Leicester, England. Cherished mother of Jane Palmer (Barney Bangs), and Sarah Palmer (Walter James). Dear grandmother of Ryan McCormick (Melissa Fishman) and Rob McCormick (Karolina Sztajerowska). Predeceased by David Palmer, (formerly of Winchester, England), her beloved husband and best friend for over sixty years. Helen’s happiest moments were those spent with David cooking and entertaining family and their numerous friends. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter and many fond memories. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital in London, Ontario for all of their compassionate care. A service will be held at St. Anne’s Anglican Church at 1344 Commissioners Rd. West in London, Ontario on Saturday, August 17 at 11 am.
