Herbert Gillingham Feb 5th 1935 – January 8th 2019 passed peacefully in his sleep after short battle with cancer at the Hospice in Cornwall Ontario. Dear son of the late Reverend Henry Herbert Atheling Gillingham and the late Emma Maude Ashton, Brother to the late Ashton Gillingham, Loving husband to the late Willy-Marie Gillingham (nee VanderWal). He will be warmly remembered by his sister Cynthia Adams (Glenn), his children Rosemary Gillingham Robles (Luis), Debbie Gillingham, Andrew Gillingham (Melissa), Charles Gillingham; his grandchildren Dr. Mark Corkum, Amanda Fantin, Catherine Chadwick, Henry Chadwick, Cameron Gillingham, Meghan Gillingham; his great grandchildren Ian Corkum, Andrew Corkum. Also survived by nephew Mark Adams ( Emily). Herb enjoyed a long and successful career with Bell Canada. In retirement he touched many peoples life’s in the region through his volunteer work with the Masons (Acacia Lodge 561) and Maxville Manor. He also enjoyed and many hours on the air as an Advance Amateur Radio Licence Operator (VE3HRB) making many friends across the world. Cremation services entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at 11am at Knox Presbyterian Church in Moose Creek, ON.
