At Chartwell Long Term Care, Lancaster on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Mary Claire Hilda Cousineau (née Maheu) of North Lancaster; age 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Peter Cousineau. Loving mother of Walter Cousineau (Barbara) of North Lancaster, Della Cousineau (Roger Roy) of Long Sault, and Robert Cousineau of Cornwall. Dear sister of May Leger of St. Polycarpe, and Bertha Sauvé of St. Zotique. Predeceased by brothers Bert Maheu, Raymond Maheu, and infant Walter, sisters Eileen Dupuis, Eva Laporte, and Rita Poulin, and by her parents Pierre and Sarah Maheu (née McDougall). Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A private visitation and Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) followed by Interment in the St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church Cemetery, Glen Nevis. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Hilda a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
