Irene Samson (Meilleur)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Samson (née Meilleur) on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre at the age of 101 years. Beloved wife for 79 years to Rheal Samson. Loving mother of Rita Huot of Cornwall, Ronald Samson (Denise) of Cornwall, Suzanne Pettinella (Sergio) of Cornwall, Gerry Samson (Patricia) of Beaverton and Claude Samson (Nicole) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Leo Meilleur (late Claudette) of Cornwall. She is predeceased by her parents; Joseph Meilleur and Josephine Meilleur (née Lapalme), her daughter; Elaine Samson (Martin Scullion), her brother; Joseph Meilleur, her sisters; Stella Degan, Cecilia Grant, Laurette Gauthier, Leona Champagne, Jean Ledoux, Rose Dupuis and Rev. Sister Adela Meilleur. At the family’s request Funeral Services will be private. In Irene’s memory donations to St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center would be appreciated by the family.
