Jacqueline King (née BOUGIE)

December 18, 1939 – May 12, 2021

Jackie died peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her parents Lucien and Raymonde. Beloved wife of predeceased husband Lionel. Loving mother of Richard (Ruth), Rene (Jonathan) and Ron (Erica). Cherished grandmother of Marlies. Much loved sister of Roger (Micheline), Lucie (Roger) and Hugh (Mary). Predeceased by sister Nicole. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and many nieces and nephews.
When she first arrived in Ottawa from Williamstown, ON, Jackie worked at Dominion grocery store followed by a stint at A. Bruce Benson Pools. Ultimately, she became a long time civilian employee of the RCMP. In her spare time, she was an avid golfer and curler with a strong competitive streak. She won her golf club’s ladies championship on numerous occasions. Jackie loved to cook and sew and she had a strong affinity for music, especially country and fiddle music in particular. In her retirement, she regularly worked for Elections Canada. Due to COVID19 restrictions, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
