Peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Jacques Lapierre of Lancaster; age 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Jeannine Lapierre (nee Sauvé) (2008). Dear father of Jacques Lapierre Jr. (Bernadette), Gérard Lapierre, Hélène Lapierre (Dave White), Gilles Lapierre (Donna), Thérèse Myers (late Dwayne) and the late Robert Lapierre (2010). Cherished grandfather of Phillipe, Nicholas, Justin and Jill; great-grandfather of Leia and Pippa. Dear brother of Pauline Brisson (late Rene), George Lapierre (late Christina), Jean-Guy Lapierre (Judy), and Pierrette MacDonald (Ken). Predeceased by his parents Dan Lapierre and Cecile Leroux and by two brothers Maurice Lapierre (Madeleine) and Edmour Lapierre (late Norma) and one sister Margaret Wereley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St., Lancaster (613) 347-3629. A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lancaster followed with burial of cremated remains in the Parish cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Children’s Treatment Centre Cornwall would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Jacques, a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
