It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Whaley on December 22, 2022 in Ottawa at the age 71 years. Beloved husband for 18 years of Denise Pagé-Whaley. Loving father of Amy Whaley (Rob), Jamie Whaley, Mark St. John (Amy), Kelly Myers (Rob) and Anne St. John. Cherished grandfather of Thomas Ford (Thomas), Brett Whaley, Brittany Kaddie (Rob), Michael Ford, Dylon Blanchard (McKensie), Dawsun Blanchard (Madison), Alexis Sendio, Brooke Whaley, Cole Whaley and Eva St. John and great-grandfather of Bellamy, Summer and Kylie. Dear brother of Susan Whaley, Laurie Hamilton (Ron), Mark Whaley (Patti), Steve Whaley (Francis) and Michael Whaley (Kim). Dear brother-in-law of Christiane Crump (Bill), Robert Pagé (Fay), Maurice Pagé, Francine DePass (Earle). He is predeceased by his parents; James Ernest Whaley and Idabell Whaley (nee Bell) and by his brothers-in-law; Richard Pagé, Donald Pagé and Jean-Pierre Pagé. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6th, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 from noon until the time of the funeral. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
