LAPLANTE, Janice (née Steele) – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janice Laplante on Saturday October 17, 2020 with her family by her side at the young age of 60 years. Beloved wife and best friend of her caring husband Phillip Laplante. Loving mother of two beautiful children, Landon (Courtney) and Laine (Bradley) Laplante. Dear sister of Shelley (Howard) Gallinger. Dear Aunt of Christopher (Amanda) and Jameson (Alexandria) Gallinger. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Lois (née Merkley) Steele. She will be greatly missed by so many of her dear friends who have become family. Forever cherished by her noble companion, Lily. Janice had many beautiful years and will forever be remembered for her positive spirit and charm. Attendance controlled visitation will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall on Sunday October 25, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Monday from 9-10:15 AM.. Visitors and family members entering the Funeral Home will be required to wear face mask or cloth face covering. A service with controlled attendance will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall (434 Second Street West) on Monday October 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM followed by cremation.
