Jean Emma McCosham

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean McCosham, on December 30, 2020, at Vancouver General Hospital. Loving wife to the late Larry J. McCosham, devoted mother to Jim (deceased), Brenda (deceased), Cathy (Shel) and Mary. Proud Nana to Laurel, Adam and Greg; Leah and Joey; and Erin, Shannon and Robin, and great grandchildren. Dear sister to the late Joyce Sproul and to the late Leonard Gosselin. Jean was born in Hanna, Alberta on April 3, 1926 to the late Joseph Emile Gosselin and the late Minnie Gregory. She lived most of her married life in Hamilton, Ontario and worked at McMaster Medical Centre as a unit clerk in the ICU until she retired. Jean always enjoyed working with the staff in the ICU, making long-term friendships. She loved travelling with her husband, “L.J.” and made several overseas trips, especially when Larry was attending a POW reunion. Jean came to Vancouver, B.C. in Sept. 2020 to be closer to her daughter Cathy and her family. She will be greatly missed by family and dear friends she made in Ancaster and Cornwall, Ontario. If desired, donations could be made to Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto.
